As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 43-year-old Italian will meet with Spezia’s management today to discuss his future at the club, who are keen to continue their work with the coach after a positive season in Serie A.

Italiano is currently being targeted by multiple teams in Italy, with Hellas Verona identifying him as a top replacement for Ivan Juric, who left to join Torino. Sampdoria are also considering him as a possible replacement for Claudio Ranieri.

Lazio are also keen on Italiano, although the Biancocelesti’s priority, for now, is still Maurizio Sarri. President Claudio Lotito will meet with the 62-year-old Italian coach later this week to attempt to close out the deal.

Italiano is taking his time and waiting to see the full situation, but Spezia are keen to secure him and start building towards next season. Updates regarding his future are expected later today.
