The Lazio squad have asked for a top replacement for departing coach Simone Inzaghi, with the club working to sign Maurizio Sarri.
As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 45-year-old Italian coach established a special relationship with the Biancocelesti squad and fired up the top players, who have now asked the Roman club to find an important replacement for him after his decision to leave to join Inter.

Sarri, who was most recently in charge of Juventus, seems to be Lazio’s top choice and the club are working hard to convince him of the project.
Spanish veteran Pepe Reina would be thrilled with Sarri, remembering him well from their time together at the Partenopei. Star striker Ciro Immobile would also be pleased; He asked president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare for an experienced and seasoned coach.
Bologna’s Sinisa Mihajlovic would also likely satisfy the squad, but Sarri is the priority.
