Sinisa Mihajlovic Removed From Lazio’s List After Agreeing to Stay at Bologna

Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is no longer a possible option for Lazio after deciding to stay with the Rossoblu.

As reported by Italian news outlet Il Resto del Carlino earlier today, the 52-year-old Serbian coach has decided to stay with Bologna for at least two more years after today’s meeting, where they discussed plans for the upcoming season and the transfer market.

As a result, Mihajlovic is now no longer a possible candidate to replace Simone Inzaghi, who decided to leave Rome after five years in order to join Inter.

This is not disastrous news for Lazio, as former Juventus and Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri is still president Claudio Lotito’s top option.

The Biancocelesti president will meet with Sarri either tomorrow or on Thursday to attempt to close out a deal with the 62-year-old Italian.

Mihajlovic has been in charge of Bologna since January 2019 and has a points-per-game average of 1.30 out of 86 matches with the club.
