Lazio Remains Interested in Signing Luiz Felipe to a Contract Extension Deal

Lazio will have a number of notable contract extension dilemmas over the upcoming summer transfer window, including the likes of Luiz Felipe.

The Biancocelesti defender is set to become a free agent next year when his current contract with the club expires.

Lazio is well interested in working with Felipe for a new contract extension deal, as noted by the Italian-based outlet Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

While Lazio aims to extend Luiz Felipe’s stay at the club, the Rome-based side would consider selling the defender over the transfer window if he elects not to come to terms with such a deal.

Lazio officials do not aim to see Luiz Felipe leave the club as a free transfer next year and would at the least seek to garner some funds with a possible departure.

Luiz Felipe faced an injury-riddled campaign over the past season. Still, he managed to appear in 18 fixtures with the side in all competitions. The defender would surely have plenty of suitors interested in a possible transfer deal if Lazio opens the door to offers.
