Lazio’s Pre-Season Training Camp Plans Likely to Change With Sarri’s Appointment

Lazio’s pre-season training camp plans may change if Maurizio Sarri is appointed as head coach.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, before Simone Inzaghi’s departure the club planned to attend the training camp in Auronzo di Cadore from the 10th to the 24th of July, but this is likely to change should Sarri be appointed.

The 62-year-old Italian coach would ask president Claudio Lotito for a three-week camp in the mountains.

The former Napoli and Juventus coach, who would bring Giovanni Martusciello with him, needs an important training camp from both an athletic and tactical point of view.

Whilst nothing has been finalised for now, the possible changes were mentioned in the recent meetings between Lazio and Sarri.

This will be an important pre-season for the Biancocelesti as many of the squad like Vedat Muriqi and Mohamed Fares suffered without having any preparations.
