Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini detailed comparisons between his top two strikers in Lazio’s Ciro Immobile and Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
Mancini is expected to face a major dilemma on who will be his starting center-forward over the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament. Both Immobile and Belotti finished off the recent Serie A campaign with superb seasons, although the former had the edge in total goals scored with 20.

Mancini has not yet provided a final declaration on who will be the team’s starting center-forward, but he did touch on this matter (via Tuttosport) during a press conference ahead of the international friendly fixture against the Czech Republic.
There are three center forwards now and one between Immobile and Belotti will start. Then we’ll see.
We want to play all the games up to London; we will need all three of them available.
Belotti and Immobile are similar, they would struggle to play together.
Both players have plenty to prove for the Azzurri in this upcoming international tournament. For Immobile, he will surely look to end the doubts regarding whether he has what it takes to find success with Italy, which the team’s coaching staff aspires to see happen.
