Lazio will have to rejuvenate the team this summer as they have the oldest squad in Serie A.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Biancocelesti squad’s average age is 30 years and 6 days old, the oldest in Serie A.

Former coach Simone Inzaghi relied on experienced players this campaign, with veterans like Pepe Reina, Marco Parolo and Stefan Radu consistently in the starting eleven.

However, with Inzaghi’s departure, now is the perfect time to overhaul the squad and begin a new cycle with younger, more exciting talents.

Of the old guard, Senad Lulic and Marco Parolo will not renew their contracts, although Stefan Radu will sign a one-year deal. Pepe Reina and Lucas Leiva will stay for at least another season, whilst Felipe Caicedo could decide to depart this summer.

Whilst Lazio have signed 20-year-old Dimitrije Kamenovic already, more signings are needed this summer to breathe some life back into the Lazio squad.
