Manchester United’s Pereira Could Return to Lazio on a New Loan Deal

Lazio may look to sign Manchester United forward Andreas Pereira on loan again this summer.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 25-year-old Brazilian forward struggled to make a strong impact in Rome this season, only making three league starts under previous coach Simone Inzaghi.

Despite his low impact, sporting director Igli Tare is still a fan of the 25-year-old Pereira and so may look to offer the Red Devils a new loan deal for next season, rather than activating the €27 million buy option.

The Brazilian forward made 33 appearances across all competitions this season for Lazio, for a total of 801 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal and provided four assists, showing flashes of brilliance despite his lack of consistent playing time.

Contracted to Manchester United until 2023, it is unlikely that Pereira will find much space in the Red Devils’ squad next campaign.
