Positive Signals After Lazio’s Meeting With Sarri, Talks to Close the Deal Ongoing

Things are looking positive after Lazio’s meeting with potential new coach Maurizio Sarri, with the parties moving closer to an agreement.

As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio earlier today, this afternoon’s meeting between the coach’s agent Fali Ramadani and the Biancocelesti’s sporting director Igli Tare has brought the parties closer together, with the agent convinced that his client’s best destination is Lazio.

Negotiations will now continue as the two parties look to narrow the gap and close the deal out as soon as possible.

The operation will cost the Biancocelesti around €25 million, accounting for the salaries of Sarri and his staff, as well as any related add-ons like Champions League qualification or the Scudetto bonus.

The Roman club made Sarri their priority as soon as it became apparent that he was interested in taking over the post previously held by Simone Inzaghi, who left the Italian capital to join Inter.
