Hiring Maurizio Sarri and his staff would cost Lazio around €25 million gross.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the deal would be for two seasons with an option for a third, with a fixed salary of €2.8 million plus add-ons linked to Champions League qualification (€500 thousand) and the Scudetto (€1 million).

It is not impossible to imagine Lazio raising their base salary offer to €3 million, in order to close out the deal for Sarri and secure his services. It will be discussed during today’s meeting with his agent Fali Ramadani.

Sarri’s visit to Formello yesterday to meet with president Claudio Lotito was positive, with the topics of conversation being tactical ideas and what adjustments the squad would need.

Talks will continue over the next few days, but there is confidence in the Biancocelesti environment that Sarri’s signature can be secured soon. The Roman club understand that the fans would be bitterly disappointed if they missed out on this opportunity.
