Dispute Between Lazio President Lotito & Lega Serie A President Dal Pino Today

Lazio president Claudio Lotito was involved in a dispute with Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino this morning.

As reported by Italian media outlet Calcio e Finanza earlier today, the Biancocelesti president spoke at the start of this morning’s Lega Serie A meeting, declaring his desire for the meeting to be cancelled because newly promoted Salernitana had not been invited.

The Campania-based club are still linked to Lotito and so they were not invited to the meeting. Lega Serie A highlighted their failure to invite the club was because of indications given by the FIGC in recent days that confirmed that Salernitana could not take part in the meeting.

Dal Pino was not impressed with Lotito’s comments and highlighted how the Biancocelesti president, considering both his ban and the fact that he was there formally to represent Lazio, could neither act nor influence the meeting.

This reply ended the animosity, but Lotito was not happy.
