Even though Maurizio Sarri has not yet officially come to terms on a managerial contract deal with Lazio, the Italian manager is already looking ahead to the upcoming summer transfer window.
As noted by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Sarri wants Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek as his first signing with the Biancocelesti.
Sarri has already reached out to both Lazio president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare about his aspirations to see the club sign the 25-year-old midfielder.

Loftus-Cheek spent the past year with Fulham on a one-season stint. The English midfielder totaled for 33 appearances in all competitions with Fulham, which included starts against the likes of Manchester City and Leicester City.
The Chelsea talent is well familiar with Sarri. He featured for Sarri during the Italian manager’s lone season with Chelsea over the 2018/2019 campaign. Loftus-Cheek starred for Sarri over Chelsea’s Europa League-winning run thanks to his four goals scored in 11 appearances.
Loftus-Cheek does have three more seasons remaining on his current contract deal with Chelsea. It is not yet known whether the Premier League powerhouse would consider offloading the midfielder this summer on a permanent transfer deal or opt for another one-season loan agreement.
