New Details Reveal Why Lazio May Consider Offloading Joaquin Correa This Summer

Lazio could be in for one of the biggest summer transfer windows in years, especially as all signs continue to point to Maurizio Sarri becoming the team’s new manager.

As with any managerial change, there are evaluations to be made regarding the makeup of the squad. As Sarri is expected to take over as Lazio’s new coach, he may likely opt for a notable formation change, which will force club officials to then accommodate the Italian manager’s transfer requests.

More so, Lazio may also consider offloading some players over the upcoming summer transfer window.

As noted by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi, club officials are open to a number of departures within the team, including with forward Joaquin Correa.

Lazio would consider selling Correa this summer in order to use the funds to acquire wingers, especially as Sarri could very well line up the Biancocelesti next season under a 4-3-3 setup.

Correa reportedly does not aim to leave Lazio over the coming transfer window and prefers to carry on with the team regardless of who the next manager will be.

Correa is under contract with Lazio for three more seasons.
