Lazio has not made it all official, but Senad Lulic may have already played his final match with the side.
Lulic is set to become a free agent in the coming weeks when his current contract deal with the Biancocelesti expires.
With Lazio showing no sign of bringing Lulic back for another year, the Bosnian midfielder is now looking towards where he will be playing football next season.
According to a report from the Italian-based outlet Corriere dello Sport (via Cittaceleste), Swiss-based side FC Zurich had approached Lulic recently to discuss his intrigue in signing a free transfer deal.
However, Zurich is now internally dealing with “organizational problems” and for the moment, club officials have withdrawn their interest in signing the soon-to-be-former Lazio talent.
Lulic is not considering retirement just yet and would still like to continue his footballing career for several more years.
For now, Lulic continues the search for his next club.
