Sarri & His Staff Already Planning Changes to Lazio’s Pre-Season Preparations

Maurizio Sarri and his staff are already planning out the pre-season summer training camps with Lazio.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the training camp in Auronzo di Cadore will be confirmed again this year and it will start on the 10th July, similar to the start date two years ago.

The main difference this time is the duration; it’s likely that they will remain working in the camp for around 20 days, with Sarri and his staff meticulously working through tactics during the retreat.

Given the current situation around Covid-19, they are considering whether or not to change the location for the second retreat, which is usually held in Germany. Instead, they may choose to stay in Italy and are considering holding it in August in Trentino Alto Adige.

The Biancocelesti, like the other teams in Serie A, did not have a proper pre-season training camp last summer, and it’s hard to say how much of an impact that may have had on the overall performance of the teams.
