Lazio may look to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan this summer.
As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, new coach Maurizio Sarri wants a quality midfielder who will be able to fit in the 62-year-old Italian’s tactical system, with the 25-year-old Englishman fitting that bill.

Sarri knows him from their time together at the Blues, where he is contracted until 2024. He spent this season on loan with Fulham and could not help the West London club avoid relegation.

Biancocelesti sporting director Igli Tare already pursued Loftus-Cheek two years ago as a possible replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but the Serb stayed and so Tare turned his attention elsewhere.
The 25-year-old English midfielder would cost a hefty fee and Chelsea are not willing to give any discounts, making a permanent deal unlikely. The Roman club, however, may look to sign Loftus-Cheek on a season-long loan deal instead.
