Daniele Rugani faces an uncertain future with Juventus.
The Italian defender is set to return to the Bianconeri in a few weeks following his half-season loan stint with Cagliari.
While the long-time Juventus talent does have a pair of seasons remaining on his current contract deal with the club, he could very well part ways over the upcoming summer transfer window.

Lazio has been recently linked with a move for Rugani. However, the Italian’s agent, Davide Torchi, does not foresee such a move from transpiring due to one key reason, which he detailed further during a talk with Calciomercato.it.
He [Maurizio Sarri] won’t call him. He had him; he wanted him at Napoli and Chelsea.
When they ended up together at Juventus, he didn’t have an eye on him.
As Torchi mentioned, Rugani was far from a regular during Sarri’s one-season run with Juventus. Rugani appeared in only 10 Serie A fixtures under Sarri.
It is not yet known whether Lazio has any plans to ramp up talks with Juventus for a possible Rugani transfer move.
The Biancocelesti are well expected to bring in defensive reinforcements over the upcoming summer transfer window.
