Photo: Mourinho’s Mural in Rome Defaced With Addition of New Lazio Coach Sarri

The mural of new Roma coach Jose Mourinho on a Vespa has been defaced by a Lazio fan after Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as head coach.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the street art in Testaccio appeared recently, after the Portuguese coach was announced to be taking over at the Giallorossi.

In response, after Sarri’s announcement yesterday, a Lazio fan took it upon themselves to add the face of Maurizio Sarri to the mural, with the 62-year-old Italian’s smoke being blown over Mourinho’s face, obscuring him.

A slightly later addition to the mural saw the numbers ’71’ added just below the motorcycle name, referencing Senad Lulic’s famous winner in the Coppa Italia final between the two sides in 2013.

Even if the football is on hold right now, the derby between Sarri’s Lazio and Mourinho’s Roma has already started, although what happens on the pitch will surely prove to be more entertaining.
