RCD Mallorca Interested in a Summer Move for Lazio Outcast Jony

Newly promoted La Liga side RCD Mallorca are interested in signing Lazio winger Jony.

As reported by Italian journalist Enrico De Lellis on Twitter earlier today, Mallorca are keeping an eye on the 29-year-old Spaniard, who spent this season on loan with CA Osasuna. His deal had a buy option attached but it was not exercised.

Jony was signed by Lazio in the summer of 2019 and is contracted to the Roman club until 2023, but is incredibly unlikely to become a feature in Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

The player did not manage to impress in his debut season in Italy and his return year home to Spain did not raise his stock much either.

This campaign, Jony made 24 appearances across all competitions for Osasuna, for a total of 1024 minutes. In that time, he provided three assists. He has a current market value of around €3 million, a little over the €2.5 million fee the Roman club paid.
