Lazio and AC Milan to Battle Over Torino Midfielder Daniele Baselli

Lazio eyes midfield help this summer while preparing for possible departures, so Torino FC Daniele Baselli is a name the Biancocelesti could pursue.

According to Tuttosport (via Lazio News 24), the Rome-based club has surveyed the player, and Torino is likely open to selling. The 29-year-old has another year left on his contract, so they’ll need to sell if they don’t want to lose him for free.

Nonetheless, Lazio isn’t the only club expressing interest in Baselli as AC Milan has also been monitoring the player. Moreover, with the Rossoneri participating in the UEFA Champions League this coming season, they need depth.

Transfermarkt places Baselli’s transfer value at €5 million, so it wouldn’t take much to land the player. Baselli has spent most of his career at Torino, where the midfielder has made 183 appearances. During his tenure there, Baselli has scored 20 goals while registering 14 assists.

However, with clubs like Lazio and AC Milan expressing interest, the player wants to pursue a new challenge.

For Lazio, Baselli is the latest midfield name to surface this summer, but he has been linked to the club on numerous occasions in recent years.

They are also hoping to secure a loan deal for Chelsea FC midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
