7 Lazio Players Have Contracts Expiring Next Season: The Full Situation

Seven Lazio players’ contracts expire at the end of next season, leaving the club to decide which players to offer renewals to.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the following players’ contracts expire at the end of June next year: Adam Marusic, Luiz Felipe, Thomas Strakosha, Patric, Pepe Reina, Lucas Leiva and Felipe Caicedo.

Marusic is coming off of his best season with Lazio but his renewal may be a little tough currently, considering that he is being closely followed by two top Italian clubs and two Premier League teams.

Luiz Felipe has received Maurizio Sarri’s signal of approval and has already agreed on a new deal with the club, so he will only leave this summer in the face of offers that cannot be refused.

Strakosha’s estrangement from the Biancocelesti continues and so he is unlikely to be offered a new deal unless he massively impresses at this summer’s pre-season training camp.

Lucas Leiva and Pepe Reina will both stay with Lazio for another season before leaving as free agents, with Patric and Felipe Caicedo both able to be sold this summer instead.
