Stevan Jovetic Opens Up on Aspirations of a Possible Serie A Return Amid Lazio Links

Soon-to-be-former AS Monaco striker and Lazio-linked Stevan Jovetic would welcome a return to Serie A this summer.

Jovetic is set to become a free agent in a couple of weeks when his current contract deal with Monaco expires. Unless the two sides come to terms on a late contract extension agreement, Jovetic will be able to leave the Ligue 1 side as a free transfer in the upcoming summer window.

Amidst the uncertainty with his future at Monaco, Jovetic has been linked with the likes of Lazio for a possible free transfer deal.

Jovetic is keeping all options open at the moment, but as he revealed to the Italian-based outlet Tuttosport (via CalcioMercato), he would consider making a return to Serie A.

Between Fiorentina and Inter, I played almost seven years in Serie A. Italy will always be my second home.

I’d like to come back, but I also have exciting proposals from other countries.

We’ll see. I’ll decide soon.

As the Montenegrin striker touched upon, he does have plenty of experience in Serie A, which includes a five-year urn with Fiorentina.

Lazio has plenty of time to approach Jovetic for a free transfer deal ahead of the summer window.
