Decisive Week for Lazio Veteran Radu With Inzaghi’s Inter Remaining Insistent

This could be the decisive week regarding the future of Lazio veteran Stefan Radu amidst Inter’s courtship.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Nerazzurri are pushing to sign the 34-year-old Romanian centre back on the requests of new coach Simone Inzaghi, who is keen to be reunited with his loyal defender.

Radu is a consistent supporter of Inzaghi and was the reason for the friction between the Italian coach and Lazio last summer over a contract renewal.

The 34-year-old Romanian would become Alessandro Bastoni’s backup at Inter, replacing Aleksandar Kolarov, whose contract is expiring with the club.

Radu, who has made a record 412 appearances for Lazio since 2008, is still waiting for a move from the Biancocelesti, but the Roman club cannot be too slow, as Inter and Inzaghi are remaining insistent.

This week could be the decisive one, where it becomes clear whether he’ll remain with the Biancocelesti or follow Inzaghi up to Milan.
