Lazio have a plan to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, sporting director Igli Tare is working hard to try and bring the 25-year-old Englishman to Rome;a player who knows new Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri well.

The Biancocelesti’s plan to secure Loftus-Cheek is to offer the Blues a loan deal with a buy option attached, but the biggest obstacle, for now, is the player’s salary.

The Englishman currently earns around €4 million per season, a large figure for the Roman club. The current idea is to share the costs with the West London club, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
The 25-year-old Loftus-Cheek, who is contracted to Chelsea until 2024, made 31 Premier League appearances this season whilst on loan at Fulham, for a total of 1973 minutes. He is unlikely to find much space in Thomas Tuchel’s Blues set-up next season.
