Tottenham Interested in Lazio Forward Correa Following Arsenal’s €20m Offer

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Lazio forward Joaquin Correa, with Arsenal and West Ham also keen.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport last night, the Biancocelesti are willing to listen to offers for the 26-year-old Argentinian forward, with president Claudio Lotito putting a €40 million price tag on the player.

Tottenham are interested in acquiring Correa this summer and new sporting director Fabio Paratici has good contacts in Italy, helping to facilitate a possible deal.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also looking to sign the 26-year-old Argentinian forward and reports suggest that they submitted a €20 million offer for the player over the weekend (via Il Messaggero). They would need to double that offer to match Lotito’s requested fee; a large distance.

Correa could still fit in coach Maurizio Sarri’s system in Rome and so Lazio are not desperate to sell the Argentinian, but the club would happily accept €40 million for him.
