Lazio faced Ascoli at home in Matchday 30 of the 2020/21 Primavera 1 TIM season.
The Marche based side are the bottom team of the Primavera 1 table, coming into this game with only six points from a possible 87. Despite that, they left the Italian capital smiling, coming away 3-2 victors.
This was coach Alessandro Calori’s second game in charge and sadly he has not managed to earn his first point in charge just yet.
Lazio have only picked up 19 points out of 30 games and now will have to face Bologna in the play-out game.

It was a tense first half between the two sides, with neither managing to break the deadlock after the first 45 minutes. Ascoli defended well, but the Biancocelesti came closest to scoring just before the break, with Mirco Mancino’s shot hitting the outside of the net.
The action finally kicked off in the second half. Ascoli took the lead early and almost doubled their lead less than 10 minutes later, before finally finding their second after the hour mark, with Damiano Franco scoring an unfortunate own goal.
Lazio didn’t give up hope and Damiano Franco’s perfectly placed penalty ensured that the Roman side were still in the game. Unfortunately for Calori and his squad, a late penalty guaranteed Ascoli the three points, despite a late consolation goal from Simone Castigliani.
Lazio will now play against Bologna in the Primavera 1 playout game. The first leg will take place at the Mirko Fersini in Formello on 23rd June, whilst the return leg will be played on 29th June in Bologna.
