Lazio Re-Ignite Interest in Boavista Defender Jackson Porozo

Lazio are interested in signing Boavista defender Jackson Porozo, who is coming off a strong debut season in Europe.

As reported by Italian media outlet Calciomercato.it earlier today, the Biancocelesti have kept an eye on the 20-year-old Ecuadorian centre back for some time now, with sporting director Igli Tare already considering the player before his move to Portugal.

Porozo initially struggled for playing time this season before becoming a regular in the first team near the end of the season, being one of the key men in the fight to avoid relegation. Boavista finished the Liga NOS season in 13th place, only two points ahead of relegated Rio Ave.

The 20-year-old Ecuadorian defender, who is contracted to the Portuguese side until 2025, would cost around €4 million and is represented by agent Daniel Manouchehri of MMK Soccer.

Porozo made 11 Liga NOS appearances this season for Boavista, for a total of 695 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals, picked up one straight red card and helped the side keep three clean sheets.
