Lazio veteran Stefan Radu has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Biancocelesti.
As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio earlier today, the 34-year-old Romanian centre back agreed to the two-year contract renewal earlier today, which will tie him to the Roman club until 2023.

The player had a meeting with sporting director Igli Tare yesterday and it was reported that he was only offered a one-year deal, so it’s possible that talks continued over night and into the morning, where an agreement was finally reached.

The 34-year-old Radu, who joined Lazio in 2008, broke the club’s all-time appearance record this season, which was previously held by Giuseppe Favalli (401). Radu’s total is now 412, which will surely increase over the next two years.
This campaign the Romanian veteran played a key role for coach Simone Inzaghi, making 31 Serie A appearances for a total of 2466 minutes. He provided three assists and helped the side keep 11 clean sheets.
