Lazio Hoping to Secure Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic on Loan Deal With Obligation to Buy

Lazio continues to have its eyes on Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic. However, the asking price seems to be out of the Rome-based club since the German side wants around €25-30 million. Nonetheless, they’re willing to negotiate to reach an agreement.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, a loan deal with an obligation to buy could allow both parties to be happy with a potential agreement. The 28-year-old is under contract until 2023, so Frankfurt will be looking for an offer that meets their demands.

The Biancocelesti are switching to a 4-3-3 with their new manager Maurizio Sarri, so the need for a winger is vital. Since arriving at Frankfurt in 2019, the forward has made 127 appearances where he’s scored 26 goals while registering 48 assists.

Last year showed how Lazio depended too much on Ciro Immobile, and when the 31-year-old went cold, the Italian club struggled to score goals. Sarri wants to avoid that by adding players that can generate offense or put the ball in the net.
