Cagliari Club Chief Says No Offers for Lazio Target Nahitan Nández

Last month, there was a report in which Lazio sporting director Igli Tare opened talks with Cagliari sporting director Stefano Capozucca regarding midfielder Nahitan Nández.

Fast forward a few weeks, and Capozucca has touched on the interest that some clubs in Serie A have in Nández. Inter Milan is the latest club to pursue the player along with Lazio.

However, in an interview with L’Interista (via Lazio News 24)the Cagliari club chief mentioned that despite the interest from clubs, no official offer has arrived for the 25-year-old.

The truth is that at the moment there are no concrete offers, but relations between us and Inter are good. There are constant contacts. Whether other players can enter into a possible negotiation? I can say that any kind of conversation can be held with the Nerazzurri.

Since arriving at Caligari in 2019, Nández has scored eight goals and registered 11 assists. The Uruguay international is a solid option for Lazio, who wants to infuse some young talent into their squad.

Nonetheless, the potential asking price for the midfielder could be out of Lazio’s price range as Transfermarkt puts Nández’s transfer value at €22-million.

The Rome-based club will need to sell players to fund this transfer should they remain interested in the midfielder.
