Italy is on their way to winning Group A as they opened up the scoring off a free kick set piece.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti put the ball inside the box that Atalanta’s Matteo Pessina would deflect. Providing the redirection would allow for Pessina’s shot to beat Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward.
Despite not going with the starters from their first two fixtures, Italy isn’t skipping a beat as they look to go nine for nine when it comes to the points in the group stage.
