Arsenal’s Asking Price for Midfielder Lucas Torreira Is Too High for Interested Lazio

Arsenal want €20 million for Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira, a price too high for the interested Lazio.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, it would be strong to call the 25-year-old a serious target of the Biancocelesti, but the player is definitely an appreciated idea.

The idea of signing Torreira pleases coach Maurizio Sarri, sporting director Igli Tare and the club’s management, but his high cost may force the Roman club to look elsewhere for their midfield reinforcements.

Arsenal want to sell the 25-year-old Uruguayan outright and for no less than €20 million. Lazio are not happy with this, not being willing to pay more than €15 million (including add-ons) and hoping for a loan deal with a buy option attached.

Torreira could still become a target, with the player willing to come to Rome, but the financial issues would need to be resolved before any progress could be made.
