Lazio continues to be linked with a possible transfer move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Filip Kostic, but the side could soon have competition from its long-time rival.
As noted by the Italian-based outlet Cittaceleste, Lazio is now in deep negotiations for the possible signing of Kostic.
Lazio has already put forth an offer on the table to Frankfurt club officials for Kostic, which consists of a €2-3 million one-season loan move coupled with a €20 million purchase option if the Biancocelesti qualifies for the UEFA Champions League competition.
Talks between Lazio and Frankfurt are still ongoing at the moment.
However, Kostic has also been offered to AS Roma.
For the moment, Roma has not engaged in any serious transfer talks for the Bundesliga playmaker, as the side is reportedly “standing still” on this possible move.
The fact that Kostic was offered to Roma reportedly concerned new Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri considering that he and the Serbian international are both represented by the LIAN Sports Group.
Lazio remains in the hunt for a winger ahead of the summer window.
