Elseid Hysaj’s decisive meeting with Lazio may be postponed until next week due to president Claudio Lotito’s commitments.

As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 27-year-old Albanian player will be a Biancocelesti player soon enough, even if the meeting where he is expected to sign the contract will be delayed until next week.

The reason for the postponement is because of president Lotito’s busy workload at the minute, with the Italian businessman working hard to resolve issues relating to the sale of the newly-promoted Salernitana. Lotito is working night and day to find a solution, leaving him little time for anything else at the minute.

It’s only a matter of time though before Hysaj signs his five-year contract with Lazio, becoming the first transfer of the Maurizio Sarri era.

The 27-year-old Hysaj made 24 Serie A appearances this campaign, for a total of 1770 minutes. In that time, he provided two assists.
