Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has debunked the rumors linking him to a possible splash transfer move to Lazio.
Insigne is currently slated to become a free agent next year when his current contract deal with Napoli expires.
As the Napoli winger is set to hit free agency next year, he has been linked with a possible reunion with Maurizio Sarri at Lazio.
It is not known whether Sarri is currently keen on bringing in Insigne to the Biancocelesti.
Nonetheless, Insigne is currently not entertaining talk over a move away from Napoli.
In speaking at a recent press conference (via Cittaceleste) ahead of the Italian national team’s upcoming massive Euro 2020 Round 16 bout with Austria, the Napoli talent downplayed talks over a move to Lazio.
This rumor came out that Immobile is acting as sporting director to bring me to Lazio, but it’s not true. He didn’t tell me anything about it. We’re friends, we’re going on vacation together, but we haven’t talked about that.
Lazio is in the hunt for the wingers, and Insigne’s name may continue to hover over the Biancocelesti rumor mill as the upcoming summer transfer window approaches.
