Lazio Aiming to Win the Transfer Race Over Valencia and Lille OSC for River Plate Defender Fabrizio Angileri

Lazio’s search for a new left-back has taken a turn over to a veteran talent from one of South America’s biggest clubs.

As noted by the Argentine-based outlet TNT Sports, Lazio is considering signing River Plate left-back Fabrizio Angileri.

River Plate is open to offloading the 27-year-old talent, as club officials are expected to facilitate further transfer talks with the Rome-based side for the defender over the coming week.

The report adds that if Lazio puts forth a €7 million offer on the table for the left-back, the Argentine powerhouse would then accept such a deal and move ahead with finalizing the transfer.

Angileri is aiming for a move to Lazio, especially as he now looks for a new challenge at this stage in his career.

However, the Biancocelesti would have to act quickly on this potential transfer, as the likes of La Liga’s Valencia and Ligue 1’s Lille OSC are also interested in signing the veteran defender.

The River Plate talent is among the more versatile players in Argentina due to his ability to play as a full-back or midfielder.

Biancocelesti officials are currently looking to haul in a starting left-back for the upcoming new season.
