Lazio was among the early clubs linked with a possible free transfer move for soon-to-be former AS Monaco forward Stevan Jovetic.
However, Lazio pulled out of the race to sign Jovetic within a mere weeks as one recent report noted that club officials had no intention of meeting the talent’s high salary demands.

There is another reason as to why Lazio club officials are no longer pursuing the former Fiorentina forward as the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi notes that the side was turned away by his recent injury history.
Jovetic managed to avoid any major injury issues last season as he totaled for 33 appearances in all competitions with Monaco, which was key in the side’s run to a top-three finish in the final Ligue 1 standings.
Still, Jovetic has missed a bulk of time over the years due to ACL, hamstring, calf and back injuries.
For now, Jovetic is considering all of his options ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
