Lazio Considering Extending Man Utd Owned Pereira’s Loan for Another Season

Lazio are considering extending Manchester United forward Andreas Pereira’s loan for another season.

As reported by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com earlier today, the arrival of new coach Maurizio Sarri and the switch to a 4-3-3 formation benefits the 25-year-old Brazilian forward, who could now play as a wide forward under the 62-year-old Italian coach.

Considering Pereira’s suitability to Sarri’s system, Lazio are considering extending his loan deal for another season. The club would not be signing the 25-year-old permanently, but continuing the loan deal for another year, postponing the decision until next summer.

Pereira joined Lazio on loan from the Red Devils last October but struggled to make an impact under previous coach Simone Inzaghi. Whilst he did make 26 Serie A appearances this season, he was in the starting 11 for only three of those; disappointing for the talented Brazilian.

Despite his limited playing time, the Manchester United owned forward still enjoyed his time in Rome and may be open to spending another year in the Italian capital.
