Lazio in Talks to Extend Adam Marusic’s Contract Until 2025, Meeting Scheduled Next Month

Lazio are looking to extend Adam Marusic’s contract and will meet his agent next month.

As reported by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter earlier today, the Biancocelesti are keen to extend the 28-year-old Montenegrin wing-back’s contract, which is currently set to expire next year in 2022.

The player had an incredibly strong season under previous coach Simone Inzaghi, with his tactical flexibility proving key in a tightly packed campaign.

With the 45-year-old Italian coach’s move to Inter, Marusic has been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri in recent weeks, but Lazio do not want to lose their man.

The Biancocelesti are currently in talks with the player and his agent Mateja Kezman about a four-year contract extension, tying him to the club until 2025.

Lazio’s management will meet Kezman next month and attempt to close out the deal, solving one of their transfer-related issues.

The 28-year-old Marusic scored two goals and provided four assists in 36 Serie A appearances this season.
