Lazio Talent Raul Moro Wants to Save Primavera Squad & Convince Sarri This Summer

Lazio talent Raul Moro wants to save the Primavera squad before convincing coach Maurizio Sarri of his qualities this summer.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 18-year-old Spanish talent is one of the stars of the Biancocelesti’s Primavera squad but is keen to make the jump up to the first team after being cast aside by previous coach Simone Inzaghi.

Moro has two objectives now: save the Primavera squad in their Primavera 1 playout game against Bologna and convince Sarri to promote him to the first team during this summer’s pre-season training camp.

The Biancocelesti Primavera squad will face Bologna on Tuesday 29th June next week, a key game for the club. The first leg in Rome finished 1-1, leaving everything up for grabs in the return leg.

Lazio invested €6 million in Moro in 2019 and now it’s time for him to show why he was worth that investment. He will join the training retreat in Auronzo di Cadore and will look to impress Sarri playing as a left-sided wide forward or winger.

The Roman club are also working to renew his contract until 2026, which is currently set to expire next year in 2022.
