Lazio could be close to adding a generational youth talent into their squad. According to La Repubblica (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the Biancocelesti are one of four clubs vying for Luka Romero.
The 16-year-old appears ready to depart Spanish club RCD Mallorca, and the report states that the other clubs involved for Romero are Villarreal, Napoli, and an unnamed English club.

Romero became the youngest player to debut in La Liga in the 2019-20 season at age 15 against Real Madrid. However, the Argentina international is ready to venture elsewhere.
Should Lazio win the race for Romero, who has drawn comparisons to FC Barcelona and fellow Argentine, Lionel Messi, the Serie A club would have him go back and forth between the Primavera squad and first-team.
It will be interesting to see whether this idea that Lazio presents to Romero attracts him to Italy. The potential of landing a generational talent is something they’ll need to put out all the stops.
