Lazio Lays Out Contract Details for Napoli Defender Elseid Hysaj

Lazio wants to fix its backline as it transitions to a 4-3-3 under new manager Maurizio Sarri. As a result, the Rome-based club could be looking to reunite the Italian tactician with one of his former players.

According Il Messaggero (via Tuttomercatoweb), Elseid Hysaj is on the verge of completing a move to Lazio. The Albanian right-back will sign a four or five-year contract with €1.8 million in annual wages, joining on a free transfer following his contract expiry with Napoli.

Sarri wants to be reunited with the 27-year-old and seems like he will get his wish. The report adds that Lazio hopes to have this agreement done by July 10th as they want Hysaj at the Auronzo di Cadore training camp.

Hysaj has spent all of his career in Italy between Empoli FC and Napoli, so there will be no transition period. Furthermore, he understands what Sarri wants from a right-back, so that also avoids any sort of learning curve.
