Lazio’s Claudio Lotito Finds Solution to Salernitana Ownership

Following the promotion of Serie B side U.S. Salernitana 1919, Lazio owner and president Claudio Lotito needed to find a new owner for the club. SThe FIGC rules state that someone can’t be the owner of two clubs in Serie A. As a result, the club chief needed to find a taker.

In a recent press release, Salernitana announced that General Ugo Marchetti is the new Sole Director of the club with all the documents sent to the FIGC.

Now the FIGC will have to verify the decision as the power is directly transferred over to Marchetti; a decision on the matter is expected by Monday, and then they will proceed with the registration to Serie A.

Omnia Service and Morgenstern, and the Lotito and Mezzaroma families went on to thank Dr. Luciano Corradi for all his work done in the process to secure a solution to the situation. 

With the leadership issue now behind them, the club and supporters can now focus on the pitch as Salernitana looks to ensure they remain in Serie A past this season.
