According to Il Messaggero, the French giants have proposed €25 million and Brazil international Rafinha to secure a deal for Correa.

While the Italian media outlet states that Lazio owner and president Claudio Lotito wants solely cash when making these types of sales for the club’s top players, Rafinha is a player that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare appreciates; in the past, the midfielder has been on his radar.

A few years ago, the Biancocelesti had an agreement found with FC Barcelona, but Luis Enrique, who was the manager, took him off the market at the last minute.

The report states that Lazio will review this offer, but should they take a player in return, they might want Julian Draxler instead, who has recently renewed his contract with the French side. The Rome-based club has also held talks in the past regarding the Germany international.

It will be interesting to see if Lotito’s cash demands are met or if Tare’s past interest in Rafinha or Draxler causes Lazio to work out a different type of deal with PSG for the sale of Correa.

Note that the main issue that Lazio would face in signing any one of these two players would be their salary demands.
