Contracted to Sassuolo until 2024, the 26-year-old Berardi made 30 Serie A appearances this season for the Neroverdi, for a total of 2484 minutes. In that time, he scored 17 goals and provided eight assists, being one of the top stars in that squad.
Berardi has also featured prominently in the Azzurri squad at Euro 2020, starting three of the four games so far. He has provided two assists in that time.
Pedulla posted a Tweet last night describing the situation, saying:
Berardi’s departure from Sassuolo in this market session is likely, under the right conditions. There have been English inquiries, but watch out for two possible Italian leads: Lazio and AC Milan. And Correa-PSG remains a track to follow.
