Lazio may look to close out the deal for Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj this week.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini on Twitter earlier today, the 27-year-old Albanian left-back is one of coach Maurizio Sarri’s favourite players and so the Biancocelesti will look to acquire the player this week on a free transfer.

Hysaj’s contract will expire with Napoli on Wednesday of this week, allowing Lazio to sign him on a free transfer. The Roman club have prepared a three-year contract, with an option for a fourth year, for the Albanian.

The 27-year-old Hysaj, who has been with Napoli since 2015, made 24 Serie A appearances this season, providing two assists in that time.

Once this deal has been closed out, the Biancocelesti can begin working on other transfer targets, with their next target being wingers. Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini, West Ham’s Felipe Anderson and Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt are all being seriously considered.
