As reported by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter earlier today, the Biancocelesti have prepared a bid for the 25-year-old German forward, believing the player to be a good match for coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system.
Lazio will offer Borussia Dortmund a €3-4 million loan deal with a €21-22 million buy option attached, which would become an obligation should the Biancocelesti qualify for the Champions League next season.
The 25-year-old Brandt, who is contracted to the Bundesliga outfit until 2024, made 31 league appearances this season, for a total of 1490 minutes. In that time, he scored three goals and provided two assists.
The Biancocelesti are also looking to sign other wingers, including Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini and West Ham’s Felipe Anderson. The club will be hoping to close out some deals ahead of the team’s pre-season training camp, which will start on 11th July.
