Bordeaux midfielder Toma Basic’s agent Adrian Aliaj confirmed interest from Italy, amidst interest from Lazio and Napoli.

Speaking in an interview with Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, Basic’s agent Aliaj highlighted that interest had arrived from some Serie A clubs, with the Biancocelesti and the Partenopei both keen to acquire the 24-year-old Croatian midfielder.

Serie A is at the top of Basic’s mind. There have been a few requests, let’s see what the best situations are.

The Biancocelesti are keen to acquire the 24-year-old Basic, who is contracted to Bordeaux until the end of next season. Other European clubs are interested in the Croatian midfielder as well, including Portuguese giants Benfica.

Bordeaux are willing to consider offers of either €12 million or €8 million plus add-ons, understanding that they need to sell the player this transfer window to avoid him leaving on a free transfer next summer.

Basic made 34 Ligue 1 appearances this season, for a total of 2611 minutes. In that time, he scored four goals, provided one assist, averaging 1.56 shots per 90 minutes on average.
