Lazio versatile talent Manuel Lazzari could be departing from the club as soon as the upcoming summer transfer window.
Lazzari has been linked with a move away from Lazio, especially as the club looks to haul in much-needed funds.
The Italian wing-back proved to be a key player for now-former Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi over the years, but he may not be a starter under new Biancocelesti manager Maurizio Sarri.
Still, former Lazio defender Ernesto Calisti is advocating for the club to keep Lazzari, which he detailed why during a recent talk with the Italian-based outlet TuttoMercatoWeb Radio (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
I’d keep him. Everyone says he’s not suited to the four-man defense. Surely he can play there; he has to apply himself more.
I would keep such a decisive player; he can be trained for the four-man defense.
Lazzari currently has three more years remaining on his contract with the Rome-based side.
