Senad Lulic’s time with Lazio has come to an end.
Lazio club officials and Lulic elected not to pursue further contract extension talks and thus, the midfielder will officially become a free agent on Thursday.
Lazio is not expected to bring back Lulic for another campaign, so he will be leaving following a notable run with the club.
On Instagram, the Bosnian talent penned one final goodbye to the club and its supporters.
Dear Lazio fans, the time has come to say goodbye after 10 wonderful years and and 371 appearances lived with the eagle on my chest, with all my might.
After so many successes, and unforgettable memories, I’m leaving Lazio because I didn’t have the chance to continue playing and fighting together with you. Not all dreams are without end, and not all dreams depend only on our wishes. Hopes and wills, sometimes, alone are not enough. I will leave behind many friends and many beautiful people that I have met in this Biancoceleste decade.
I thank the club Lazio and President Lotito for the opportunity that was given to me: to wear this special jersey for 10 years. A very special thank you to all Lazio fans, know that I will carry you forever in my heart. I will evoke, in my future, every day lived together with you.
